Probably because it was probably one of the few times people were unified over the fact that we're done, and angry and want something DONE! These protests are overall peaceful and do NOT escalate until the cops in riot gear show up. Until the pro-israeli protestors show up and set fireworks on the encampments. They are now passing a law to make it LITERALLY illegal to speak negatively about Israel and its gen@cide. There is progress, such as Brown University authorities now saying they are willing to come to an agreement with the protesters and will begin to disclose information on their donors. Honestly, this truly is a gross misrepresention of what is going on here. These our the future leaders and they have a passion for NOT having babies being blown up, sorry if that's super offensive to you. I will stand with the students here ANY day, now I see it is a shame you are pushing a completely different narrative just by calling them "entitled". The police have been forcing the students off the campus so yeah, they actually DIDN'T get a chance to clean up and take their belongings to jail with them. Sorry for THAT one too. Do better. Palestinians are just a tool used against Israel by Hamas, the PA, Iran and Egypt. The big picture is that Islamic countries in the Middle East can't stand the fact that there's a successful Jewish state in their midst. These countries will do everything to perpetuate this conflict, like not accepting Palestinian refugees who lost the war against Israel in 1948. Palestinians are the only people whose status as refugees goes from father to son, because the victim card is their strongest and people like these protestors buy it.

I think this is the calm before the storm. Major cultural shifts like this are never perfect in the beginning. The people forwarding it are often filled with people with ill intentions(opportunists) or people who don't really know what they are doing. Even then you can begin to see people on the left criticizing what is happening and that it needs to become more organized. I think protests like this seem deranged and impromptu...because that's exactly what it is. I think most of these kids joined because they had this "sense" that something was wrong and want to do "something" and saw this protest and joined. If this was more organized and planned out, and indeed proper demands and prep was made, I think we would be criticizing this differently.

I think our pushback is doing pretty good. More and more men and women are saying 'No' to this lunacy and those pushing it are getting mocked appropriately. Especially with the new medical studies on transgender people the far left is on the back foot. Keep up the good fight.

The main problem I see is that they undermine their own cause. I believe their protests, in this case, are justified. Israel's behaviour towards Palestine is immoral and has been for a long time. If it weren't for the USA's support of Israel, they would have been sanctioned a long time ago. The students at these campuses undermine themselves for several reasons. Firstly, it seems that an outrage subculture has been established. Students are always actively looking for things to be outraged against. This leads them to protest stupid things. When they protest stupid things all the time, when something that deserves protest comes along, it's thrown in the same bucket and subsequently ignored or mocked. Another thing is, as you said, these people are terribly privileged and come from a generation where their parents have done everything for them their whole lives. This can be seen by the fact they can't even clean up after themselves. They clearly don't have the skills to even organise a protest. Why aren't they picketing in shifts? There is no reason they can't eat, sleep, and return. They've never had to organise themselves in their lives; now they don't know how. This is also reflected in their requests for food and water. Why can't they organise this themselves? Also, it's not 'humanitarian aid' to give protesters food and water. She's clearly just saying words that sound intellectual without knowing what she's talking about; so much for the quality of Ivy League students. I don't even know what to think about asking for plan B, HIV medication and dental damns. This is just a ridiculous request. You're protesting, not at a music festival. There also seems to be some blurring of lines between rioting and protesting. I'm not sure where this comes from, and it seems to be mostly an American thing, though I could be wrong about this. For some reason, these protests always seem to carry an element of rioting. Why are these people damaging things within their own communities? This is obviously counterproductive; they turn themselves from protestors into criminals. People don't tend to listen to criminals. I wonder if this is a result of Hollywood movies; I can think of any other reason for it. If this were a totally peaceful protest, picketing only, no destruction, no littering, etc. I don't see why the police would get involved at all. Not being American myself, I'm uncertain of the exact laws; it may even differ from state to state, but doesn't everyone have the right to peacefully protest?

for me, its a case of good cause-bad reason. "theyre browner, and less western, than the jews so we have to be on their side" is such a wildly racist idea against literally everyone that i dont think i have anything in common with someone who might think something like that. im anti-israel in the same way i dont support any middle eastern states. i dont support ethnostates. i dont support theocracies. i dont support states that actively support terrorism. i dont support states that view declaring war as a legitimate action. i dont support totalitarianism. i dont support apartheid. all middle eastern states are guilty of some of these, most of them are guilty of all of these. if these children want to be anti-something, id much rather they be anti a genocidal ethnostate than anti-white police officers.
